We like to grow as many of our own plants as possible, but as luck would have it, we are unable to stay on top of the ever-rising quantity of plants needed to make our nightshade truffles.

We need outside sources. For truffle ingredients we are looking for quantity, so no less than a full-sized plant or approx. a full 12 x 8 x 6 box or more. Otherwise, it just isn’t worth the cost of shipping, more or less the time it takes to carefully package the plants, to send any less.

Plants Needed:

  • Solandra (flowers, leaves still on tender branches, seedpods, roots - fresh only)

  • Mandrake (non-dried roots and/or leaves - officinarum & turkomanica only, no autumnalis)

  • Henbane (entire plants or any part - fresh, dried, or a combo of the two - no albus)

  • Belladonna (entire plants or any part - fresh, dried, or a combo of the two - atropa, baetica, & Turkmenistan)

  • Brugmansia (flowers, seedpods & roots - fresh)

  • Wormwood (entire plants or any part)

  • Crossvine Flowers (blossoms only which are easiest to gather after heavy rainfalls)

  • Scopolia (entire plants or any part - fresh, dried, or a combo of the two)

  • Sorry, we are no longer trading for any variety of datura. We already have a ton of processed oil in our inventory.

For trades, we are requiring anyone interested to be able to say that the plants were not grown with any harmful chemicals, as well as provide photos that clearly show it’s the plant it’s stated to be if there is any uncertainty.

Usually I like to work with fresh plants but we will also take dried plants and/or a combination of the two. Please know the plants don’t have to be in perfect condition. Dirt, gnawed leaves, and even some bugs are expected when plants are organically and naturally grown. We will take plants anytime of the year and anytime of their growth cycles. You don’t have to wait for a special time unless its what you personally are called to do.

We’ve been doing this for a while so we have tons of handy tips for packaging and shipping to make sure the plants show up in great shape. Things like ‘fresh flowers continue to open while shipping so if you pack fully opened flowers they can start to decay during shipping, whereas flowers that are not fully opened arrive fully open and fresh as can be’, ‘never pack in plastic’, and ‘never add dampened paper products’.

We’re here to help make your participation in this as easy as possible once you reach out to us. Please do not send us packages for trading without reaching out to us first.
