Ceremonial Tattoos and Piercings Using Truffles

This afternoon I finally got a specific piercing that I have wanted for decades. Tattoos and piercings are deeply personal to me and the finished results become very much a part of my medicine. I do not take the doing of such things lightly and I imagine many of you are the same so I thought I would share how I used a truffle to help me with the ceremonial part today. In a spot deep in my head I created my place of ceremony. I created a special altar especially for this occasion and kept working on it until it was just so. I got all of my supplies ready to go and placed them in the beautiful receptacles that I had set out for them: oils, incense, plus more intimate things. I kept going over everything to make sure it was perfect. I knew who I intended to call as witnesses and who I intended to make my offering to. I knew where I would sit. When I sat on the bench in the room where the piercing was to happen I also took my place at the altar I had prepared in that other world. After the piercer and I briefly confirmed what we were doing I let my main self slip deep into that other plane where the altar was and I began the heart of my ceremony. The beauty of these truffles is that they make doing something like this so much easier, and so much more tangible. I could feel the gentle warmth that radiated from the candles I lit, I could smell the incense, oils, and resins as the scents curled about in the air, I could hear and feel the arrival of my intended and feel their love deeply. I may be able to do these things without the truffles but with the truffles it is just that much easier and all of the sensations are amplified. It becomes easier to straddle the two worlds and this can make the process of getting these new adornments all the more meaningful and significant. (The truffles should also help relax you during the process as well)
